Anyone remember the classic 1986 World Cup game between Brazil and France? Or the tense quarterfinal match between France and Argentina in 2018? The final group match of Group 1 between Austin Powers and Austin Dynamite could be compared with one of those games as both teams played under pressure as it was a do or die match for both teams. Austin Dynamite was relatively in a better situation as they just needed a draw in this game to move to the final. On the other hand, Austin Powers needed to win this game.
This was a game of both great technical merit and high drama. This was first game for Rahil, who could not play the first match due to injury. Without Rahil, Austin Powers managed a 2-2 draw against Texas Thunders, while Austin Dynamite had a comfortable win against Thunders by 2-0, both goals coming from their star striker Niraf. So, Austin Powers had only one option to reach the final and that was to beat the Austin Dynamite in this game. Austin Powers eventually overcame their demons to beat Austin Dynamite by 4-1. However, the score does not reflect the actual story of the game. It was a heavy contested game by both teams and first half ended in 0-0 draw. Dynamite took the lead in the second half but it was blazing Rahil who went on to score 4 amazing goals one after another to steal the spot in the final and later led his team to win the tournament.
