Will the star players Be at their best in ABPL?
RRP FC, Leander Bandits, Austin Arsenal & United South Austin are the four founding members of a league that is about to bring a new excitement to Austin BD soccer. The initiative taken by few soccer plyers have already created a lot stir among the soccer lovers of Austin. But the questions remains, will it produce some exciting games that we are used to seeing in the annual Soccer Tournaments?
ABPL itself does not want the soccer players or audiences to compare the league with the annual soccer tournament. ABPL committee believes that the beginning season of ABPL would help the players to play the regular Sunday soccer in an organized way and make the Sunday soccer more appealing to everyone. Nevertheless, it is expected that the games will be competitive and players will be playing for winning. Teams will try to put their best eleven while following the ABPL guidelines, The demand for the star players will increase and the star players will no longer have to wait till the annual soccer tournament to prove their skills. They would now have the chance to do do that every Sunday if they are available.
ABPL committee is doing everything to attract the star plyers while it is promising to ensure that all players will get an equal opportunity to play irrespective of their performance (during the first two phases of the league). This would bring some challenges but each team can independently create some formulas to ensure they can utilize their star players effectively and efficiently.
Also lately, a lot of new players have moved to Austin and it can be assumed that some of them will take the limelight soon after the league starts. Besides, there are some players who only come to play during the tournament will get some early practices through the league.
