Maher’s role can be described as an attacking all-rounder. A versatile player who is able to play in a variety of positions, but he is at his best when plays as attacking mid-fielder or a second striker. He has been playing in Austin soccer since he left high school and has been praised for his maturity, technique, awareness, tactical intelligence and positioning. However, sometimes he is being criticized for getting a bit slow. However, he was a third round in pick in last year’s soccer tournament and scored both goals for eventual tournament champion Austin Powers in their first game when he played as a guest player, replacing Raul.
